Ajuns la cea de-a treia ediție organizată la Cluj de Fundația Cosman, festivalul internațional Expolaroid. Luna fotografiei instantanee a devenit un eveniment nelipsit al primăverii. Organizat simultan în diverse țări, festivalul are ca scop expunerea și promovarea practicilor legate de fotografia și filmul instantaneu sub toate formele sale. Anul acesta Fundația Cosman vă propune un format inedit prin expoziția „Three Rooms”, ce va avea loc în perioada 26 martie – 10 mai 2020. Expoziția va avea loc sub forma a trei soloshow-uri, în fiecare din cele trei camere ale fundației. Artiștii ce utilizează polaroidul sunt invitați să ne trimită propunerile lor până în data de 1 martie inclusiv, la adresa fundatiacosman@gmail.com Ne așteptăm la proiecte de expoziție coerente pornind de la/incluzând fotografia instantanee, fiind admise și alte medii artistice. Propunerile trebuie să conțină :
- Titlul proiectului
- Justificarea/prezentarea proiectului (max.2 pag.)
- O scurtă biografie (max. 1/2 pag.)
- 10 imagini reprezentative (300 dpi) + datele tehnice
- Facultativ : imagini din care reiese posibila organizare în spațiu (ex. imagini din alte expoziții, schemă…)
- Datele de contact
Lucrările vor fi expuse în original (în cazul mediilor reproductibile se va expune tirajul original). Modalitățile de transport și expunere vor fi discutate de la caz la caz. Trimiterea lucrărilor va fi asigurată de artiști, returul lor de către Fundația Cosman. O rezidență de o saptămână este posibilă pe parcursul expoziției.

The international festival Expolaroid. Month of instant photography, taking place worldwide around the month of April, has become also one of the most popular events of the spring in Cluj-Napoca. Organized for the third time by the Cosman Foundation, the festival’s purpose is to expose and to promote all practices around instant photography and film in all their forms. Our proposal this year, entitled “Three Rooms”, is an exhibition taking the form of three solo-shows, one in each of the Foundation’s exhibition rooms. Polaroid-based artists are invited to send us their proposals by the 1st of March included, at fundatiacosman@gmail.com. What we expect is a coherent exhibition proposal, focused on/including polaroid/instant photography, but not exclusively, other mediums being accepted. The proposal must contain:
- Title of the project
- Description of the project (2 p. max.)
- Short biography (1/2 p. max)
- 10 representative images (300 dpi) + technical specifications
- Optional: images of the possible exhibition display (ex. photos from past exhibitions, sketch…)

We show only original works (for reproducible mediums original prints). The transport and exhibition arrangement will be discussed individually. The sending of the works is supported by the artist, their return by the Foundation. A one week residency is possible during the exhibition.

Arrivé déjà à sa troisième édition organisée par la Fondation Cosman, le festival international Expolaroid. Le mois de la photographie instantanée est devenu un évènement incontournable du printemps à Cluj-Napoca. Ayant lieu simultanément dans plusieurs pays, le festival a comme but d’exposer et promouvoir les pratiques autour de la photographie et du film instantané sous toutes ses formes. Cette année, nous vous proposons un format inédit, intitule « Three Rooms », sous la forme de trois expositions personnelles, une dans chaque chambre de la gallérie. Les artistes utilisant le polaroid sont invités à nous envoyer leur propositions à l’adresse fundatiacosman@gmail.com, jusqu’au 1er mars inclus. Nous attendons des projets d’exposition cohérents, partant de/contenant de la photographie instantanée, mais pas exclusivement, autres mediums artistiques étant admis. Les propositions doivent contenir :
- Titre du projet
- Description/justification du projet (max. 2 pag.)
- Courte biographie (max.1/2 pag.)
- 10 images représentatives (300 dpi.) + spécifications techniques
- Facultatif : l’agencement pressenti pour l’exposition (ex. photos des expositions passées, esquisse…)

Nous acceptons uniquement des œuvres originales (tirages originaux en cas de medium reproductible). L’organisation du transport et de l’exposition sera discutée au cas par cas. L’envoi des œuvres sera assure par l’artiste, le retour des œuvres par la Fondation. Une résidence d’une semaine est envisageable pendant l’exposition.
